Fire Falls Horsetail Fall
One of the most impressive waterfalls in North America. Only here does the water turn into fire.
Located in Yosemite National Park, California, Horsetail Fall is a seasonal waterfall that flows only in winter and early spring. Its total height is 650 meters. For a period of time – usually the last two weeks of February – you will see an incredible transformation of water into “fire”. It is then that the sun at the right angle illuminates the falling water, which shimmers in a golden orange colour. You can get the impression that hot lava is flowing from the top. Unfortunately, due to the frequent clouds and storms that occur in winter in California, this phenomenon is extremely rare. However, this does not change the fact that every year hundreds of tourists and photographers come to the park, waiting for the cloudless sky.
