Crossing waves a natural phenomenon

Crossing waves are an extremely dangerous phenomenon of nature, quite rarely observable. In such conditions it is better not to enter the water.
Crossing sea is a state in which two wave systems generated by the wind move unevenly at different angles. This can happen when water waves from one weather system are present, despite changes in wind conditions. This rare phenomenon occurs when the sea is disturbed by wind blowing in one direction for a long period of time. The waves generated by the new wind run almost at right angles to the old ones, creating a dangerous chessboard pattern. Such conditions on the sea or ocean are extremely dangerous, so you should wait until the “old” waves are dispersed, because they can damage even the largest ships.
