Does it pay to use E27 LED bulbs

Key features
In LED bulbs, the light source is a blue light-emitting diode, which stimulates the so-called phosphor to light up. What is a phosphor? It is a chemical compound that shows the ability to luminescence, i.e. the emission of light waves. This phenomenon is also called cold shining, because the source of light is not high temperature. The first feature of LED bulbs is therefore a minimum degree of heating – they can be safely grasped by hand. As for the safety of use, it is also worth noting that LED bulbs do not contain mercury or any toxic substances. In addition, they are the most modern solution in the field of lighting. One of their most important features is their unparalleled energy efficiency – they can save up to 95% of your electricity bills. Every household can save up to several hundred USD a year by using only LED bulbs. They are insensitive to the number of switching on and off cycles and are estimated to last up to 50,000 hours. An important element of diode models is also the use of the highest quality components, including heat sink and LEDs of a proven brand. Other, no less important features of LED bulbs include a fast illumination time (less than 1 second) and a very high color rendering index. This means that the light emitted by the bulb does not change the color of objects and objects seen. Thanks to this, we can easily and effectively illuminate our rooms and the light does not distort natural colours.
What does the E27 symbol mean?
Each bulb has a threaded handle that allows you to attach it to the lamp holder. The variety of types and models of handles has forced manufacturers to introduce their own markings.
The E27 symbol denotes one of the most popular types of bulb handle, usually referred to as “large thread”. We can find it in most of the models of ceiling, wall, office and even garden lamps.
Available variants
The designation E27 applies only to the bulb handle, which can be supplied in many different variants:
shape – differentiated; the shape of the cap does not determine in any way the shape of the bulb. Thus, among the E27 LED bulbs with a thick thread we can find both those with a classic shape, as well as those with a candle or reflector shape;
power – are available in all variants of this parameter, from 1W and above;
light colour – light colour models ranging from white and cold to coloured light bulbs fulfilling a decorative role;
Colour temperature and light angle – of course they depend on the parameters of the bulb and are not in any way correlated with the type of handle.
It can be concluded that the E27 LED bulb is available in all possible variants and is a universal light source in our homes and offices.
Does it pay to use E27 LED bulbs?
In our opinion, yes. For at least a few reasons, the most important of which are:
a long service life – that is, the overall lifetime of a light bulb. For LED bulbs, it is estimated at around 50,000 hours of trouble-free operation. This is an incomparably longer period in comparison to a conventional or halogen bulb;
insensitivity to the number of switching on and off cycles – older bulbs consume more power during short periods of light, and with frequent switching on and off their life was shortened. These problems do not concern bulbs with LED technology;
energy efficiency – this parameter is probably the most important feature of a LED bulb. Although its price exceeds the price of other types of models, in a broader perspective, this expenditure pays off more than it should. An LED bulb can save up to 95% on electricity costs, which, combined with their extraordinary lifetime, gives impressive sums of money.
The answer to the question whether it is worth using E27 LED bulbs is yes. This is the best solution for those who appreciate high quality and safety, and at the same time do not like to waste money.
